Environmental Protection

The Sumitomo Chemical Group has positioned environmental management as one of its most important tasks for raising productivity while also reducing environmental impact. We advance shared targets for all tasks and work to achieve them. Specifically, we are working to improve the operational methods at our plants, rationalize production processes and improve the efficiency of facilities and equipment in our efforts to utilize energy and resources more efficiently and reduce all generated waste such as exhaust gases (including greenhouse gases), wastewater and effluent, and all other wastes discharged into the environment.
